The Compassion Anthology

A compilation of creative works to inspire the compassionate consciousness of others.

Facebook Page
The Compassion Anthology is an online literary magazine that publishes compassion-based works of visual art, essays, stories, poems and video. We are interested in works about compassion in all its meanings, such as: kindness, courage, healing, forgiveness, mercy, hope, sacrifice, social justice, education, and empathy in human and/or animal interactions as well as environmental conservation (including nature writing) and interfaith dialogue. We are especially interested in works that feature mindfulness and meditation and how these instill compassionate tendencies. New work is published in the anthology every winter and summer. For submission guidelines see "Submission Guidelines" page at www.compassionanthology.com.

The Creative Challenge

We invite artists and writers to reflect on the essence of compassion and create intellectually and emotionally engaging artworks capable of inspiring compassionate thought. True compassion is a very personal thing, therefore we encourage submitters to approach this creative task with personal life experience and deep introspection. Our desire is to see work that transcends the obvious and engages the viewers on a deeper level.

The Compassion Anthology is partnered with the Charter for Compassion, an international organization working to establish and sustain cultures of compassion locally and globally through diverse initiatives—education, civic, business, religious and spiritual communities, and the arts.
Please consider signing the Charter at www.charterforcompassion.org.
